Klaus PetersenMarketing Director, Factory Automation – European Business GroupMitsubishi Electric Europe B.V.

He started his career as a specialist quality engineer working at BMW’s Research and Innovation Centre in Munich. From this strong foundation he went on to hold several technical roles, covering many aspects of manufacturing and automation, before joining Mitsubishi Electric Europe with a high level of experience in automation hardware and software.

Prior to his current role, Klaus Petersen worked as Business Development Manager for Mitsubishi Electric’s successful MAPS (Mitsubishi Adroit Process Suite) integrated PLC/SCADA programming and management tool for Adroit SCADA and Mitsubishi Electric PLCs. This background has ensured he has an excellent balance of knowledge for both technical and commercial aspects of marketing industrial automation solutions.

Now Klaus Petersen is responsible for establishing innovative marketing and partnering concepts for growing the power of Mitsubishi Electric’s Factory Automation business in the EMEA region.

In addition to his expertise he has developed a broad set of language skills. Originally from Denmark, he has lived and worked in Scandinavia, France and Germany – in each case learning the local language, as well as being a fluent English speaker.

Outside of his work Klaus Petersen enjoys taking to the hills on his mountain bike and can often be found on a basketball court.
