    Martin ManegoldManaging Directorimagine computation

Martin Manegold studied Architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a specialization in building technology and building economy.

During his studies he already developed own computational design tools for structural analysis in early design stage through interface programming between CAD and structural analysis software.

From 2008 to 2011 he was working for imagine structure and involved in the planning of complex buildings from early design stage to realization. During the last year at imagine structure he was working on the realization of the Snohetta Design of the “King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture” for Inoclad. His primary task was the script automated application of the construction onto the free form facade at manufacturing detailing level.

He is an “Authorized Rhino Teacher” and has been offering workshops for architects in the field of 3D modeling, Rhino Python Script and parametric modeling with Grasshopper since 2009.

In September 2012 he will be teaching programming at the Detmold School of Architecture and Interior Design as part of the “Master for Computational Design and Construction” program.

In August 2011 he founded imagine computation GmbH.
